I always go to this restaurant for their dim sum in the morning and decided to go for dinner this time. It's definitely a good decision, their food is really good. I tried their eggplants with minced meat which is not on the menu but got recommended by the server. The sauce is absolutely amazing. It has spicy flavors, umami flavor and hint of sour. I also tried their pecking duck. This is the best!! The skin is so crispy and the meat is so juicy. Eat it with the bun, scallions, and delicious brown sauce. It's super delicious!! The service is fast but some server doesn't really speak English. Overall we got a good experience and delicious food. Well come again for sure to try their other menu!!
New Capital Seafood is a solid spot for dim sum, offering a wide selection of fresh and flavorful dishes. I came here for a weekend meal and tried several items, including the pork bun, egg tart, beef ribs, and shrimp balls. Everything came out hot and tasted fresh, which made for a satisfying experience. The pork buns were soft and had a nice balance of sweetness and savory filling. The egg tarts had a delicate, flaky crust with a smooth custard that wasn't overly sweet. The beef ribs were tender and packed with flavor, and the shrimp balls had a light, bouncy texture that made them easy to enjoy. Service was efficient despite the busy atmosphere. The staff kept the carts moving, and it didn't take long to get what we wanted. Some carts came by more frequently than others, but the servers were accommodating when we asked for specific dishes. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating, though it does get loud during peak hours. The energy adds to the experience if you enjoy the lively dim sum scene. It's a good place for groups, and the turnover ensures that dishes stay fresh. Overall, it's a great choice for classic dim sum with a wide variety of options. The food was well-prepared, service was quick, and the bustling atmosphere made it feel like an authentic experience. Would definitely come back.
Ambiance - typical large Chinese restaurant Service - excellent service; our waiter was very attentive, always filled our water glasses, swift service Food - we ordered French style beef (5/5), honey walnut shrimp (5/5), hot and sour soup (5/5), house special crispy chow mein (5/5). This restaurant had generous portion servings compared to KW Cafe in Nogales and Colima. Everything we ordered tasted great and also better than KW Cafe. I would have rated them a 5 were it not for the women's restroom - so little number of stalls for such a large capacity restaurant. One stall did not have toilet paper. It could also be a little cleaner.
We hit up New Capital Seafood around 10am for their dimsum. The place wasn't too busy, which was nice! The shrimp lollipop? So good. Sticky rice? Perfect. And the egg tart? Buttery and flaky, juuust right. Honestly, the only reason it's a nine out of ten instead of a ten is that they charge extra for sauce. Still, 8 out of ten, would come again and bring a friend!
If you're in the area and want trustworthy Dim Sum, check this place out! I've grown up coming here when I want to branch out from my usual Seafood Cove #2. Dim Sum is from 9 am - 2 pm. I went on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away for my party of 4. Service began immediately! There's a selection of hot teas to choose from and we chose Green Tea! The typical dishes I choose are Xiu Mai, Har Gow, Shrimp Noodle Roll, and Egg Puff Pastry/Pineapple Buns! We also asked for the menu to order Honey Walnut Shrimp (perfectly made!). This place still does the traditional cart ordering style. At some points, the carts were more focused towards the front of the restaurant, so there was a period of us waiting to get service. Once they arrived, the dishes were handed over quick, fresh, and steaming! So many selections to choose from, so don't be afraid your dish isn't there; just ask! Plenty of parking and also a parking garage if needed. The restaurant is located on the second floor so keep an eye out for that! Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
